About The Role

This role is a unique opportunity to join and work with a team of talented academic and systems engineers, and to engage with a wide range of industry partners across various sectors, including aerospace, automotive, electronic manufacturing, and construction. The candidate will support the development and deployment of applied AI solutions, including machine learning, computer vision, and large language models (LLMs), within real-world manufacturing contexts.

About You

The candidate should have practical experience in robotics and/or automation systems, software development environments (including AI or automation software), familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals and LLMs, and experience with implementing machine learning algorithms. Experience or interest in innovative control systems engineering including IEC 61499 would be an advantage.

The candidate will be immersed in a multidisciplinary team of control, mechanical, electronic and software engineers, and should be able to seamlessly collaborate on the development of industry ready solutions.
