Job Title: Radiation Test Electrical Engineer

Location: Crane, Indiana (Relocation package available)

Compensation: Up to $150,000 annually + relocation support

Overview:

An industry-leading defense engineering organization is seeking an experienced Radiation Test Electrical Engineer to join its advanced testing group in support of critical Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role will directly support system and component-level planning, testing, and validation efforts while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across multiple technical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop component test plans to validate against technical specifications.
  • Partner with radiation and environmental test teams to perform component characterization and testing.
  • Collaborate with Configuration Management and Quality teams on the release and revision control of test fixtures, software, and procedures.
  • Train engineers and operators in proper component testing techniques.
  • Review and validate test data and technical reports prior to delivery.
  • Maintain existing test fixtures, software, and procedures.
  • Transition legacy tests to new systems and equipment as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software environments.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic component testing and characterization.
  • Proficiency with test equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and impedance analyzers.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug and resolve issues in electronic test circuits.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with radiation testing.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) laboratory environment.
