About Indus
Indus is PhonePe’s innovative app store designed specifically for India, offering users the ability to browse and discover applications in their preferred local languages, catering to the diverse linguistic landscape of the country.
Role Overview
As the Head of Marketing for Indus, you will lead the marketing strategy to drive user acquisition, developer relations, and brand presence. You will work closely with the CBO of Indus and the Group CMO to establish and execute marketing initiatives that resonate with users and app developers.
Key Responsibilities
- User Acquisition & Localization: Drive app store adoption across diverse linguistic segments in India, leveraging local language capabilities to enhance user experience and relevance.
- Developer Relations & B2B Marketing: Cultivate strong relationships with app developers through strategic B2B marketing, developer advocacy, and partnerships to attract and retain high-quality applications within the Indus ecosystem.
- Ecosystem Awareness: Work closely with the CBO to promote the breadth and quality of the app catalog on Indus, fostering a thriving and diverse app ecosystem through marketing efforts.
- Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns across all channels to build brand awareness and acquire users and developers.
- Performance Marketing: Lead and optimize all performance marketing channels with a focus on efficient user and developer acquisition and measurable ROI.
- Social & Community Engagement: Build and manage vibrant social communities to foster brand loyalty and engagement.
What You’ll Bring
- 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on brand building, customer acquisition, and launching new businesses.
- Industry exposure in at least two of the following: CPG, Retail, e-commerce, or Consumer Technology.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling brand narratives and bring them to life through integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding and proven success in optimizing performance marketing channels.
- Expertise across all facets of modern marketing: brand strategy, content creation, performance marketing, social engagement, and CRM.
- Proven track record of leading and inspiring teams, both directly and cross-functionally.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment, building from scratch and making data-informed decisions.
