Job Title: Java Developer - Level 3
Anticipated start date of 11/15/25, listed duration of 17 Months,
Located: Albany, NY (50% On-Site Requirement so Relocation is a must
Local Candidate Highly Preferred.
Prior IES exp or candidate with State or Federal Exp Mandatory
Mandatory Qualification
- Level III- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer
- More than 7 years of experience as a Java developer including experience in Java/J2EE and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- More than 7 years of experience with popular frameworks, particularly Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security) and ORM technologies like Hibernate or JPA.
- More than 7 years of proven experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
- More than 7 years of experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and proficiency with build tools like Maven or Gradle
- More than 7 years of experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including an understanding of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
- More than 7 years of experience with DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- 2+ years of experience working in a federal or state government setting (Health and Human Services, especially in Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, Child Support, etc. preferred)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- More than 7 years of experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL, as well as experience with NoSQL databases
