Title: Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote / Dallas, TX

Seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our client's support team, focused on maintaining and optimizing production environments across hybrid cloud infrastructures. This role is vital for ensuring system reliability, managing incident response, and driving continuous improvements in operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will also contribute to documenting support processes, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices to enhance team productivity and knowledge sharing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 support for production workloads in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and hybrid environments.
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution of production issues.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability concerns.
  • Maintain and enhance Helm charts, GitOps workflows (ArgoCD), and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, integrating automated testing and security tools (Trivy, OWASP ZAP).
  • Implement and manage observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki for real-time monitoring and alerting.
  • Manage authentication and access controls using Azure AD B2C, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect, including certificate renewals and client secret rotation.
  • Ensure secure and scalable ThingWorx IoT integrations in production environments.
  • Proactively reduce infrastructure costs through autoscaling and intelligent resource shutdown strategies.
  • Enforce security best practices, including container hardening and compliance automation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and handle production support escalations as needed.
  • Document operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and DevOps workflows to support team knowledge and onboarding.


Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Cloud and DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on production support.
  • Proven expertise in managing Kubernetes in live production environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, CKA, or CKS are a strong plus.
