About Your Tasks
We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer:
- Design and develop hardware solutions for EV chargers, focusing on communication interfaces (including OCPP, RS485, USB, Ethernet, WiFi, etc.) and HMI.
- Develop and implement power meter interfaces to ensure accurate and reliable energy measurements.
- Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct hardware testing and validation to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware solutions with system software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Perform design reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in EV charging technology and hardware design.
- Document design specifications, test procedures, and other technical documentation.
About You
- Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware design, preferably in the EV or automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of communication protocols and power meter interfaces.
- Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
- Experience with hardware testing and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI compliance and safety standards for EV chargers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Plus
- Experience with EV charging system design and implementation.
- Knowledge of power electronics and energy management systems.
- Understanding of IoT and cloud-based communication for EV chargers.
- Previous experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) practices.
