We are seeking a
SEO Specialist with AI fluency to lead technical SEO and keyword strategy for early clients. You’ll take ownership of audits, technical fixes, keyword research, and content direction, while staying ahead of evolving trends in AI search.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on independence, brings strong SEO expertise, and is excited to merge traditional SEO with AI-driven opportunities.
Part-Time: ~10 hours/week
Schedule: CET working hours
Location: Fully Remote
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Start Date: ASAP
Monthly Starting Rate: $280-400 (based on a 10-hour workweek)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onboarding SEO audits (technical SEO, keyword analysis, competitor benchmarking)
- Implement SEO fixes (meta tags, site speed improvements, crawl errors, schema)
- Build keyword/topic strategies aligned with AI and SEO trends
- Use SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO) to drive insights
- Draft content briefs for writers (topic clusters, semantic keywords, AI-informed structures)
- Guide a VA in keyword research, reporting, and simple SEO tasks
- Stay updated on AI-powered search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.) and adapt strategies
Requirements
- 2–4 years of SEO experience (agency or freelance)
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO and content optimization
- Proficiency with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, SurferSEO, Screaming Frog)
- Understanding of schema markup, structured data, and site architecture
- Interest in AI trends and their impact on search
- Strong written English for documentation, briefs, and reporting
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working in fast-growing digital agencies
- Hands-on knowledge of AI-assisted SEO tools and workflows
- Comfort training or guiding junior team members (e.g., VAs)
