About The Position
Black Shamrock is looking for an experienced programmer to help build a fast-paced creative venture with plenty of room to push boundaries.
We’re seeking a pragmatic and efficient coder familiar with the aspects of gameplay systems and setting up emergent and data-orientated abilities in editor.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement character abilities in a proprietary engine
- Fulfil design’s visions in creating high tension and satisfying combat
- Action game based on famous IP
- Work closely with Game Designers, Animators and Project Managers
- Deliver high performance, high-quality code
- Prioritize and execute tasks
- Anticipate production technical needs
Qualifications
- Strong C++ and object-orientated programming skills
- At least 5 years of experience in the games industry as a software engineer
- Strong experience implementing gameplay systems to support design and animation
- Strong optimization skills on both performance and memory fronts
- Strong debugging skills
- Experience in developing emergent NPC AI
- Great knowledge of the technological and organizational aspects involved in developing successful state of the art AAA games.
- Ability to work both within a team and independently as per requirements from time to time
- Knowledge of low-level system architecture
- Has knowledge of 3d mathematics
- Console development background is a plus
- Agile development experience is a plus
- Good organizational and communication skills (English)
