Position Overview
We’re looking for a senior smart-contract engineer to own the protocol backend that powers Re’s on-chain reinsurance products. You’ll design and implement Solidity contracts for Re’s deposit token infrastructure, direct redemptions, liquidity, and lending/yield integrations across chains, while holding a very high bar on security, correctness, and observability.
You will collaborate closely with product, actuarial, and full-stack teams to translate complex reinsurance flows into precise on-chain state machines and clean developer surfaces that scale.
What You’ll Do
- Own protocol architecture & implementation for:
- On Chain Asset infrastructure
- Liquidity integrations and automation
- Borrow/Lend hooks: Morpho (ETH), Silo (AVAX) collateral/IR model integrations.
- Ship production-grade Solidity with deep test coverage, gas profiling, and upgradeability patterns
- Security as a feature: drive audits, write specs, integrate static/dynamic analysis , and maintain incident runbooks.
- Cross-chain & data plumbing
- Operational excellence: metrics/events for price-to-NAV alignment, redemption SLOs, utilization, and incentive emissions; on-call for protocol incidents.
- Raise the bar: lead reviews, author design docs, mentor engineers, and simplify complex mechanisms.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience; 2+ years Solidity with contracts deployed to mainnet(s) and meaningful TVL.
- Expertise in EVM internals, fixed-point math, access control, upgradeability, and failure-mode design (pausers, rate-limiters, circuit breakers).
- Comfort reading/writing audit reports and formal specifications; you think in invariants and edge cases.
- Strong understanding of DeFi primitives (AMMs like Curve/Uni V2&V3, lending like Morpho/Silo/Aave, yield/term like Pendle) and MEV-aware engineering.
- Clear communication, product sense, and a bias to ship safely.
Bonus Points If You
- Have shipped cross-chain messaging/bridging (CCIP/LayerZero) or oracle design.
- Built subgraphs, data indexers, or partner-facing SDKs.
- Have experience with RWAs/insurance/reinsurance, or risk/actuarial workflows.
- Have hands on experience building on-chain automation jobs
