Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead the quality assurance and quality control program on a large-scale industrial electrical installation project. The QA/QC Manager will oversee all quality activities from planning through commissioning and project close-out.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project-specific Quality Management Plan (QMP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
- Inspect and verify electrical installations, including conduit, cable tray, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, grounding, and terminations.
- Oversee electrical testing and commissioning: insulation resistance, hi-pot, torque checks, relay/breaker testing, grounding resistance.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) as required.
- Coordinate with commissioning agents, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Deliver complete QA/QC documentation, as-builts, redlines, and final turnover packages.
Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Construction Management Software such as ProCore.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEEE, UL/NEMA standards.
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing and commissioning.
- Proven ability to lead QA/QC processes and interface with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Preferred:
- CQM-C (Contractor Quality Management – USACE/NAVFAC).
- OSHA 30 Construction Safety certification.
- CEPSCI certification (South Carolina projects).
- Large project experience (federal, manufacturing plants, data centers, heavy industrial).
