Site Reliability Engineer

I am currently hiring for a Senior Devops/SRE for one of Japan’s largest IT companies (no Japanese needed), this is an exciting opportunity to be able to work on a product with millions of users and a diverse team.

Here are the details below:

Salary: 6,500,000 to 7,500,000 yen per year + benefits (commute, free meals, VISA, on-site gym, etc)

Location: Tokyo (on-site role - hybrid work style with remote allowed)

VISA: Work VISA sponsorship is available

Employment type: Initial 2-2.5 months contract, and 3 months rolling contract after that.

During the contract period, you’ll be employed by Robert Walters. However, there is a high chance of conversion to direct permanent employment with Rakuten around 6 months- 1 year mark.

Relocation Package: None, but we offer non-financial support.

Here's a bit of detail of the JD:

• B.S. or M.S. in computer science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in Devops/SRE with these tech stack: Kubernetes (k8s), Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, Docker and ELK
• Experience with Cloud Design Patterns, data management and monitoring
• MUST: hands-on experience in configuring cloud environment from scratch and building CICD pipeline from scratch
• Business-fluent level English or more
