About Ordinary Folk
Since the 1930s, the way we commute, socialise, and even make payments has evolved dramatically. Yet our fundamental approach to healthcare has stayed largely unchanged.
Ordinary Folk seeks to reimagine the building blocks of healthcare through two distinct brands:
- Noah: Enables men to receive remote diagnosis and treatment across various areas of care.
- Zoey: Offers women’s sexual wellness and fertility products and services, supporting them through life’s pivotal moments.
We operate across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan, delivering thoughtful, user-centric healthcare experiences.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Graphic & Motion Designer to be the creative force shaping how our brands look, feel, and move.
As the primary designer on our team, you’ll collaborate across brand, marketing, and product to craft compelling visuals, eye-catching campaigns, and smooth digital experiences. Beyond static design, you’ll bring our ideas to life through motion graphics, animation, and micro-interactions that amplify our storytelling.
This role is not just about execution — we want a creative leader with a strong point of view. Someone who can champion a cohesive visual narrative across campaigns, product, and motion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Graphic Design (Brand & Marketing)
- Establish and evolve visual brand guidelines across campaigns, digital assets, and communications.
- Conceptualise and produce graphics, social media visuals, and promotional materials that align with strategic brand goals.
- Translate brand strategy into bold, clear, and memorable creative outputs.
2. Motion Design
- Design and animate motion graphics for campaigns, social content, explainers, and ads.
- Create product micro-animations (transitions, onboarding flows, interactive visuals) that enhance the digital experience.
- Explore new animation trends and formats to keep our storytelling fresh and engaging.
3. Product & UI Support
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX researchers to ensure our web and mobile platforms remain visually cohesive.
- Provide visual and motion design assets that elevate usability and delight users.
4. Creative Collaboration
- Work hand-in-hand with marketing and product teams to align on aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Champion creative excellence across both static and motion deliverables.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in graphic design and motion design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing branding, marketing visuals, and motion/animation projects.
- Fluency in at least one of the following — Cantonese (Traditional Chinese), Japanese, or English.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, After Effects (or equivalent tools for animation/motion).
- Strong grasp of visual storytelling, typography, colour, and user-centred design.
- Ability to clearly present and defend design decisions to non-design stakeholders.
- Experience working in agile or fast-paced, cross-functional teams is a plus.
What We Offer
- A transformative role shaping the visual and motion identity of fast-growing healthcare brands.
- Join a passionate team of 20 on the ground floor of a high-growth startup.
