At Focuspoint Studios, we’re building a strong, talented team to work on exciting Unreal Engine projects. As part of the Reignite Group, alongside Zeal (our game framework division) and Current Games (our publishing arm), we operate within an ecosystem that fosters innovation, cross-discipline collaboration, and technical excellence across all facets of game development.
Our focus is on full-cycle development, co-development, and porting games to multiple platforms. We are a team of highly experienced professionals and ambitious talent, all working together to create high-quality games in a supportive, knowledge-driven environment, where technical precision and artistic vision go hand in hand.
We’re currently looking for a Lead Artist to join and guide our team. Someone who thrives in both the creative and technical aspects of game development. In this role, you’ll help define and shape the visual identity of our games. You’ll also work hands-on across the pipeline, contributing to characters, environments, in-engine integration, animation, and overall visual polish. You’re not only a capable and creative artist, but also a communicator and mentor, confident in guiding others, sharing your vision, and helping the team grow visually and creatively. Does that sound like the kind of impact you’re ready to make? Then you might be the Lead 3D Artist we’re looking for!
How you’ll make an impact:- Define, communicate, and maintain a cohesive visual direction for our projects across areas such as environments, characters and in-game cinematics.
- Work hands-on across the full 3D pipeline: modeling, sculpting, texturing, lighting, set-dressing, rigging, and animation.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, programmers, and producers to ensure technical feasibility and a unified gameplay/visual experience.
- Mentor and support internal artists, offering feedback, guidance, and training where needed.
- Manage and direct external partners and outsourcers, reviewing deliverables and ensuring alignment with internal quality standards.
- Optimize assets and scenes for performance without compromising on visual fidelity.
- Support the creation and implementation of cutscenes, trailers, and in-engine cinematics to enhance storytelling and promotional output.
- Define and maintain documentation, pipelines, and best practices for the art team.
- Take the lead in reviews and internal art discussions to ensure a balance between aesthetics, performance, and gameplay needs.
What we are looking for:- Degree in Game Art or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a 3D Artist and 2+ years as a senior or lead in a professional setting.
- Shipped at least 3 titles, with at least 1 in a Senior or Lead position.
- Experience developing for console, handheld and/or PC platforms.
- Comfortable switching between hands-on creation and high-level art direction.
- Familiarity with outsourcing workflows and vendor communication.
- Strong understanding of the entire 3D pipeline including environment and character art creation, PBR workflows, texel density, modular design, lighting, rigging, and animation.
- Demonstrated experience with Unreal Engine, including Blueprints, lighting setup, Sequencer, material creation, and asset integration.
- Proficiency in Blender, Substance Painter and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of game development pipelines and art documentation best practices.
- Ability to lead and mentor artists, provide structured feedback, and align art quality with project goals.
- A strong portfolio that showcases your best work (preferably with in-engine renders or scenes).
- Someone who’s curious, adaptable, and thrives in an environment where continuous learning and shared growth are integral to our collaborative success.
- Strong English communication skills in both verbal and written capacity.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
What makes you stand out:- Experience working on both original IPs and co-development projects.
- Experience working in small to mid-size teams where autonomy and versatility were key.
- Experience crafting real-time cinematic sequences and cutscenes within Unreal Engine or similar tools.
- Experience supporting marketing efforts through video production, trailer editing, or asset creation.
- Well-versed in current development trends and eager to explore new tools, technologies, and innovations.
Why you will love working at Focuspoint:- Direct impact: Your ideas matter. You’ll have a real influence on the games we develop.
- Experienced, supportive colleagues: Join a team that values both individual ownership and shared expertise.
- Exciting projects: Engage in a variety of projects, ensuring a dynamic and fulfilling work experience.
