🌎 Location and Legalities

This full-time Motion Graphics Designer position is based onsite in our brand-new Ultralytics office in Madrid, Spain, with a hybrid model of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the EU, as Ultralytics does not provide visa sponsorship. Paid relocation incentives to Madrid are available.

🚀 What You'll Do

As a Motion Graphics Designer at Ultralytics, you will create visual stories that explain how YOLO works and why it matters. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product, and content to deliver motion assets that resonate across YouTube, TikTok, Bilibili, LinkedIn, and X.

• Translate complex Vision AI concepts into clear, engaging animations for product explainers and educational shorts that showcase YOLO tasks and results.
• Storyboard, create style frames, and animate 2D/3D sequences that demonstrate object detection, instance segmentation, pose estimation, and multi-object tracking based on the instance segmentation and tracking guide.
• Build use-case visualizations aligned to industry verticals featured in our solutions pages, including clips for manufacturing quality control and intelligent retail analytics.
• Collaborate with engineers to visualize model outputs using assets from Ultralytics models and bring to life blog tutorials like tracking moving objects in videos and data visualization best practices from our visualization article.
• Design social-first assets across 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 with platform-optimized titles, hooks, and end cards, following best practices for YouTube upload encoding and TikTok video specifications.
• Deliver localized subtitles/captions using SRT/WebVTT and accessible on-screen text; implement standards based on the WebVTT specification.
• Own color pipelines, grading, and LUTs for consistency and clarity, guided by LUT essentials.
• Edit and finish content with a polished audio mix, tasteful transitions, and motion typography suitable for technical narration.
• Export and compress deliverables efficiently using H.264/HEVC/ProRes, leveraging FFmpeg where needed for advanced batch workflows and codec control.
• Create modular templates in Figma for repeatable series and refresh our brand motion system across platforms and events.
• Adapt deliverables to region-specific platforms, including B2B channels like LinkedIn video and community channels like Bilibili and X video uploads.
• Partner with content leads to align story arcs to product launches, docs updates, and articles such as practical tutorials on using YOLO models for object detection.
• Contribute motion design across our documentation and integrations, including visual summaries of integrations that help users deploy YOLO end to end.

Your visual storytelling will accelerate user understanding, elevate brand perception, and amplify the adoption of Ultralytics across the AI ecosystem.

🛠️ Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of professional motion design experience across tech, SaaS, or product storytelling.
• Expert-level proficiency in After Effects for animation, compositing, and expressions; strong editing and finishing in Premiere Pro.
• Proficiency in 3D (preferred: Blender or Cinema 4D with MoGraph) for product visualization, UI fly-throughs, and data-driven animations.
• Comfortable in Figma for storyboards, style frames, and systemized design; experience translating vector assets from Illustrator or similar tools.
• Strong fundamentals in motion principles, typography, layout, iconography, and brand systems; ability to simplify complex technical narratives into visual metaphors.
• Demonstrated experience creating explainers and educational shorts that make advanced topics like object detection, segmentation, and pose approachable to broad audiences.
• Understanding of export settings, codecs, and delivery pipelines for social-first formats, including YouTube best practices and TikTok specifications, with working knowledge of FFmpeg for automation.
• Working knowledge of color management, grading, and LUT workflows guided by industry references.
• Practical understanding of captions and accessibility standards, including WebVTT and SRT for multilingual audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and product teams to visualize YOLO features and outputs clearly and accurately.
• Bonus: familiarity with Ultralytics content and tutorials like moving-object tracking, plus awareness of common YOLO integrations.
• Portfolio demonstrating product explainers, 2D/3D animation, and social-first campaigns across 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9.
