DRAM Product Engineer – Design Validation and Characterization

Lab sessions, programming, data analysis, understanding the circuit design – all of these aspects will be part of this position. You will collaborate with team members of all parts of the product lifecycle – from gate level design, layout, first product validation to final application test, as well as the manufacturing test environment in the semiconductor fab.

Are you eager to work in an interesting and fast-paced industry? If you enjoy working in an environment of highly skilled and motivated engineers from all around the world, this position offers you great opportunities for a technical career.

Position

This Is How Your Job Will Look Like

  • You extract meaningful information about new circuit designs by measurements on DRAM devices. To achieve this, you constantly learn about our GDDR product design and functionality, and will work closely with other product and design engineers
  • You program and execute test patterns on memory testers, using object oriented python and low-level tester language
  • In the lab you use the automated handler, oscilloscopes and multimeters – in the office space you program test patterns to test remotely and use smart algorithms and data crunching to obtain best results
  • You analyze the root cause of fails and device weaknesses, together with other product and design engineers – and give input for potential design fixes
  • You drive decisions and obtain relevant conclusions for product improvements together with product and design engineers
  • You support our GDDR products from pre-silicon to post-silicon phase. This includes to develop Design Validation and Characterization test strategies, verify tests in simulation and later to perform tests on silicon

You will interface with other product engineering groups, with design team, quality groups and manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with teams in Germany, US and Asia.

  • You like to learn, you have strong problem solving skills and a proactive way of working

Preferable

  • Experience with measuring signals in the MHz-GHz range
  • Experience with numerical computations
  • Experience with ATE or low-level programming languages
