Windows Administrator
Location: 100% Remote
Team: Capital Markets/Electronic Trading
Employment Type: long-term contract
Our client is seeking a Windows Administrator to join its growing technology support team. This role requires someone who can step in day one with strong experience in AWS Workspaces, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and PowerShell automation. You will play a key part in stabilizing and scaling the environment as the business continues to grow and meet regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do
Support & Troubleshooting
- Act as the first escalation point for Windows-related issues, resolving incidents across desktops, laptops, and remote environments.
- Troubleshoot AWS Workspaces and Entra ID identity issues, ensuring smooth end-user access.
Automation & Scripting
- Build and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive admin tasks (e.g., account provisioning, password resets, group management, Workspaces deployment).
- Proactively improve processes by reducing manual workloads and increasing efficiency.
Identity & Access Management
- Manage users and groups in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including Conditional Access, MFA, and group-based provisioning.
- Support integration between Entra ID and AWS Workspaces for seamless identity management.
Cloud & Endpoint Support
- Provision, manage, and troubleshoot AWS Workspaces for remote users.
- Deploy and manage endpoint security tools in a cloud-first environment.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on AWS Workspaces experience (day-one ready).
- Strong background with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) – user/group management, MFA, Conditional Access.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills (building & troubleshooting scripts, not just running them).
- Windows Server administration experience in enterprise environments.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Broader AWS cloud knowledge (EC2, IAM, S3).
- Endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune).
- Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.
Ideal Candidate
- Proactive problem-solver who asks, “How do I automate this so it doesn’t happen again?”
- Thrives in balancing end-user support with automation project work.
- Comfortable working remotely and independently within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
