Financial Analyst (all genders) in GERMANY

As our Financial Analyst (all Genders), you will play a crucial role in elevating our Finance function. As part of the Finance team, you will work alongside an Accounting Manager and a Finance Analyst to drive the department’s strategies, processes, and outputs, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

You will be utilizing financial data to generate actionable insights that drive informed decision-making, improve financial performance, and mitigate risks. 

Thanks to your understanding of financial topics and data analysis techniques, you will identify crucial metrics, analyze trends, and pinpoint areas for optimization.

Due to the nature of this position responsibilities, the position follows a hybrid working schedule with semi-regular in-person events and meetings onsite. If you are not currently close to one of our offices, we’re happy to support your relocation. We have three offices located in Germany; one in the beautiful harbour city of Hamburg (Germany), the second in the Bavarian capital Munich (Germany) and the third in the German capital Berlin (HQ). We come together a minimum of twice a year to celebrate our successes together

Your role and goals:

• Ensuring a clean setup of our financial data and processes to allow for efficient, timely, and impactful reporting to the executive team and our investors.
• Understanding and monitoring our accounting function to ensure correct and structured data in our source system DATEV.
• Conducting P&L analysis and making unit economics transparent for the management team by establishing and running a dashboard with SaaS KPIs.
• Developing and running a dynamic forecasting model allowing stakeholders to quickly understand business trends and drivers.
• Collaborating closely with the finance team and supporting our management in data-based decision making.
• Enhancing our reporting capabilities by integrating our financial data with Looker Studio, creating intuitive and dynamic dashboards, and expanding our business intelligence (BI) capabilities.

What you bring to the team:

• Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and the ability to interpret financial data to provide insights into our company performance.
• Proficiency in managing and integrating financial data from multiple sources and in applying data management tools for advanced financial analysis, including forecasting, regression analysis, and risk assessment.
• Ability to effectively prepare and present complex financial data, including through visual representations using tools such as Lucanet and Looker Studio. Experience working with DATEV is a plus. 
• Strong analytical thinking skills to identify patterns, solve problems, and provide data-driven recommendations. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance audiences.
