Tasks
As a Python/AI Engineer at Nairon GmbH, your work will focus primarily on backend development and AI integration, with occasional collaboration across the full stack.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Developing and integrating LLM-based systems using tools such as LangChain or Pipecat and other relevant APIs
- Creating modular, reusable backend components to power voice and chat-based AI interfaces.
- Writing clean, well-structured code and contributing to code reviews and architectural decisions.
- Collaborating with frontend developers, UX designers, and project leads to align technical implementation with product goals.
- Applying DevOps best practices using Docker and, where appropriate, Kubernetes for deployment and scalability.
- Supporting communication and coordination within the Athens-based development team.
Requirements
Experience:
Any relevant backend or AI engineering experience is welcome. We are open to junior, mid-level and senior candidates with strong Python skills and a solid understanding of LLM technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python is required.
- Experience with FastAPI, LangChain, Pipecat or similar LLM frameworks is highly appreciated.
- Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and conversational AI concepts is a strong plus.
- Comfort with Docker-based development and basic DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like Next.js is a bonus but not required.
Communication:
- English proficiency is essential, both written and spoken, as it is the working language for all positions.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership.
- Ability to collaborate in a distributed, cross-functional team environment.
