Our client is currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer

100% REMOTE

W2 ONLY

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer security solutions in partnership with Cybersecurity Architects to align with strategic goals and risk tolerance.
• Lead process engineering efforts to remediate risks and enhance operational resilience.
• Analyze cyber technologies, develop metrics models, and track performance indicators to inform decision-making.
• Identify and implement robust, next-generation security solutions to address business challenges and strengthen the control environment.
• Act as a subject matter expert for supported security technologies and provide guidance during escalations.
• Validate architectural models and assess impacts across cybersecurity systems.
• Define and oversee security requirements and technical specifications to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide technical direction to infrastructure, operations, data, and application development teams during implementation and post-deployment phases.
• Proactively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Security Groups and Firewall Policies
• Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama Management
• Strong understanding of routing protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Ansible, GitHub, and Linux command line
• Exposure to PCI DSS or other compliance frameworks
• Experience with Python, Splunk, and Terraform

Rate: $60-80/HR
