Overview

About the Role: We are seeking a talented Junior Web Developer to join our team, specializing in Shopify theme development and customization. This role is ideal for a developer looking to grow their expertise in e-commerce development while working with modern web technologies to create exceptional online shopping experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid templating language
• Build reusable Liquid components to ensure scalable and maintainable code
• Implement responsive designs that work across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
• Collaborate with designers to translate mockups into functional, pixel-perfect Shopify themes
• Optimize theme performance for fast loading times and excellent user experience
• Integrate third-party apps and services with existing Shopify themes
• Troubleshoot and debug theme-related issues
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
• Stay updated with Shopify platform changes and best practices
  
  

Required Technical Skills

Must-Have Experience

• Liquid templating language - Strong proficiency in Shopify's Liquid syntax and template structure
• React - Experience building components and managing state
• GraphQL - Understanding of query language and API integration
• Responsive Design - Ability to create mobile-first, cross-device compatible layouts
• Version Control - Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Shopify Platform - Understanding of Shopify's architecture, APIs, and development tools
• Proven ability to create reusable Liquid components that promote code efficiency and maintainability
• Experience with modular development approaches and component-based architecture

• Rebuy - Experience implementing and customizing Rebuy smart cart and personalization features
• Discount Functions - Knowledge of Shopify Functions API and discount logic implementation
• SEO & Geo-targeting - Understanding of SEO best practices and geographic content customization
• WCAG Compliance - Experience implementing accessibility standards and inclusive design
• Shopify CLI - Familiarity with Shopify development tools and local development setup
• Performance Optimization - Experience with PageSpeed optimization and Core Web Vitals
• Shopify Plus - Knowledge of enterprise Shopify features and Flow automation
  
  

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of web development experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Self-motivated with ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Understanding of e-commerce user experience principles
