HR Director
Location: Schaumburg, IL (Hybrid: 3 days in office)
Base : $150-200K up to negotiable
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

We are seeking a dynamic HR Director to build and lead the HR function for a rapidly growing U.S. operation in the healthcare and life sciences sector. Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Compliance
- Establish, implement, and oversee HR operations, policies, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to U.S. labor laws and international regulations.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, including performance management and conflict resolution.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Lead the full cycle of hiring, onboarding, and integration.
- Drive workforce planning in alignment with business objectives.
Training & Development
- Create and implement training programs to support professional growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
- Manage compensation and benefits to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Oversee payroll operations with accuracy and compliance.
- Provide specialized support for expatriates, including payroll and benefit coordination.
Expatriate & Assignment Support
- Assist with relocation logistics, housing, and assignment integration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for expatriate employees throughout their assignment.
HR Systems & Administration
- Administer HRIS platforms (ADP) and related systems.
- Maintain accurate HR data and employee records.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience across multiple HR functions.
- Professional certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Knowledge of Japanese business practices and multicultural work environments.
- Track record of establishing or scaling HR functions in startup/growth phases.
