# Azure Security Infrastructure Migration Consultant
## Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure infrastructure consultant or consulting firm to accelerate the migration of our security infrastructure to Microsoft Azure services for our international team. This is a critical initiative requiring deep technical expertise and proven success in complex, multi-cloud environments.
## Primary Objectives
- **Accelerated Migration**: Lead and execute the migration of security infrastructure to Azure services with emphasis on speed and reliability
- **Policy Implementation**: Deploy and enforce updated security policies across the infrastructure
- **Infrastructure Consolidation**: Streamline and consolidate existing infrastructure components for improved efficiency
- **Resource Optimization**: Identify and implement opportunities for cost and performance optimization
## Required Technical Expertise
### Azure Services (Essential)
- **Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)**: Design, deployment, and optimization of VDI solutions for distributed teams
- **Site-to-Site Networking**: Implementation of secure network connectivity, including VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, and hybrid networking architectures
- **Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)**: Advanced configuration and management of Azure RBAC, including custom roles and least-privilege access models
- **Microsoft Sentinel**: Deployment, configuration, and optimization of SIEM/SOAR capabilities, including playbook development and threat detection rules
### Multi-Cloud Security (Essential)
- Proven experience in cross-cloud security infrastructure deployment spanning **Azure, AWS, and GCP**
- Implementation of unified security policies and controls across heterogeneous cloud environments
- Experience with cloud-native security tools and their integration across platforms
### Additional Requirements
- Demonstrated success with international team support across multiple time zones
- Experience managing large-scale infrastructure migrations with minimal disruption
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and security best practices
- Excellent documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities
## Preferred Qualifications
- Azure certifications (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent)
- Track record of successful Azure migration projects of similar scope
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep)
- Background in security operations and incident response
