As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building the foundation of a modern, scalable data platform that powers analytics, AI, and decision-making across the organization. Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and management of the organization's data ecosystem.
Your key missions include:
- Designing and maintaining scalable, modern data infrastructure including warehouses, pipelines, and analytic products
- Building and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows using SQL, dbt, FiveTran, Airbyte, and related tools to deliver high-quality data
- Creating effective data models that enable self-serve analytics and business intelligence across teams
- Developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting systems (e.g., Tableau) to support decision-making
- Establishing governance, data quality standards, and best practices to ensure trust and reliability
- Documenting workflows and infrastructure to ensure transparency and scalability
- Partnering with leadership to define and evolve the long-term data strategy
- Providing mentorship and setting engineering standards for future hires
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you bring strong technical expertise paired with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
Key qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with proven experience building and optimizing pipelines
- Expertise in end-to-end data pipeline development, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Familiarity with Postgres, dbt, Airbyte, and Tableau or equivalent visualization tools
- Strong communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously, adapt to ambiguity, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications include experience with custom connectors, data governance frameworks, and working in a startup or high-growth organization.
