Remote 5 hours ago

About us

Virtually Sports is a B2B technology company focused on developing sports-based games for the global betting and gaming industry. Founded in 2020, we’ve been busy building our team, creating a suite of games, and launching with global clients. We’re now looking for talented people to power our next stage of growth.

The role

We are seeking a skilled Front-end Developer to take ownership of our web-based products. This role is ideal for someone passionate about modern front-end technologies, and who is open to contributing in other areas. You will be responsible for some of our live products, so confidence in working independently and taking ownership is key.

Everything we produce is related to sport, so while a passion for sports isn’t essential, it’s certainly a bonus.

This is a fully remote role (UK-based) starting ASAP. Salary range is £30-40k dependent on experience.

Main responsibilities

  • Own the development lifecycle of front-end products, from build and deployment through to monitoring and optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain internal dashboards that support business operations.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation and management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver improvements to systems and workflows.

Required skills & experience

  • Strong JavaScript programming skills (essential).
  • Experience with modern frameworks and tools: React, Vite, Remix/Next.js, Tailwind, TypeScript, Turborepo, Recharts (essential).
  • Familiarity with UI component libraries (essential).
  • Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline) (essential).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive team player.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience (preferred).

Nice to have:

  • AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, serverless technologies).
  • Database experience (MongoDB/DocumentDB).
  • Professional DevOps experience.

Other information

If you don’t tick every single box but have strong JavaScript fundamentals and a willingness to learn, we’d still like to hear from you.
