What is the plan for the Head of Talent Acquisition role?


This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building operational maturity, delivering high-quality hiring outcomes, and shaping a strategic, data-informed, and candidate-first recruitment function. This role requires someone who can lead by example, evolve processes, partner credibly with senior stakeholders, and elevate the impact of TA across the business. Success will depend on your ability to influence, implement, and inspire at all levels — while keeping things practical and efficient.


What will you do as a Head of Talent Acquisition?


Lead, coach, and develop a global TA team — fostering a high-performance culture, clear KPIs, and accountability for delivery.

Design and deliver a scalable, business-aligned talent acquisition strategy across multiple geographies and employment models.

Personally lead delivery of senior, niche, or business-critical roles where needed — ensuring credibility and momentum.

Drive process maturity and operational excellence: identify bottlenecks, standardize workflows, and implement consistent reporting.

Build and maintain fit-for-purpose ATS and recruitment tooling — evaluating and optimizing platforms, integrations, and user experience.

Own relationships with agency partners and external vendors; set expectations, track performance, and manage spend effectively.

Embed a data-driven hiring culture using dashboards, analytics, and market insight to shape plans, decisions, and recruiter performance.

Work cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to ensure hiring processes meet internal and regulatory requirements (e.g. UKGC).

Deliver exceptional candidate experience and employer brand consistency across global and local hiring efforts.

Support talent benchmarking, workforce planning, and the exploration of new talent pools or sourcing channels.



What do you know that makes you a great Head of Talent Acquisition?


Excellent previous experience in a senior talent acquisition role, including team leadership, coaching, and performance management, is essential.

Track record of managing and fixing TA operations — including process design, tooling, and reporting improvements.

Strong delivery background: hands-on experience hiring at senior and specialist levels across multiple business functions.

Experience hiring across international markets and supporting relocation or visa processes.

Familiarity with regulated industries (e.g. gambling, fintech, financial services) and managing compliance risks in recruitment.

Proven ability to design and execute TA strategies aligned to business goals, including senior stakeholder engagement.

Strong ATS and tooling knowledge: able to lead implementations, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot system issues.

Practical experience managing third-party agencies and establishing governance and cost control.

Expertise in employer branding, recruitment marketing, and delivering a consistent candidate experience.

Strategic mindset: understands how to assess soft factors, anticipate hiring needs, and adapt to global cultural contexts.

Comfortable working in evolving, pragmatic environments where hands-on delivery and strategic thinking are equally important.

Knowledge of different employment models (perm, contractor, outsourced) and how they impact hiring decisions and workforce mix.


Salary £80k based on experience with bonus & benefits package.
