EQL Edtech is proud to be recruiting on behalf of bina, a pioneering global online primary school on a mission to reinvent education for the future. bina is building a joyful, human-centered school experience that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and compassion in every learner.

We are now seeking a strategic, systems-minded People Ops Manager to join bina's growing team - someone who can own and scale people systems with empathy, rigour, and efficiency. You will not only design the backbone of our people operations, but also be a culture-carrier and visible representative of bina to prospective teachers, candidates, and collaborators.

✨ About Bina

bina is reimagining education for the modern world with a global, online primary school. Students learn in intimate micro-classrooms of just seven peers, guided by outstanding teachers and connected across continents.

Learning goes far beyond academics: bina weaves social-emotional growth, cultural awareness, and sustainability into immersive biome-themed units. Families enjoy a seamless, intuitive schooling experience powered by the best of edtech, research, and design.

🧩 The Role: People Ops Manager

As People Ops Manager, you'll be the backbone of bina's globally distributed team. You'll bring structure to ambiguity, build scalable HR systems, and foster a culture of joy and inclusion as the organisation rapidly grows. Crucially, you'll embody bina's values in every interaction, ensuring that candidates, teachers, and team members experience the warmth, creativity, and professionalism that defines our school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic People Operations - Build and scale hiring systems, manage remote onboarding processes and offboarding, and oversee contracts, compliance, and transitions.
  • Data & Reporting - Develop dashboards to track hiring, leave cover, and staffing; analyse people data to guide decisions and improve HR data and dashboards reporting.
  • Talent & Growth - Support the creation of performance management frameworks, career pathways, and professional development opportunities.
  • Culture & Experience - Lead rituals, celebrations, and employee experience design; act as a trusted partner for conflict resolution in remote teams and wellbeing initiatives

Requirements

🌟 About You

You will be a great fit if you...

  • Bring strong character - empathetic, open-minded, and a true team player who naturally embodies bina's values of curiosity, creativity, and compassion
  • Are as comfortable representing a brand externally as you are designing systems internally. You inspire trust and enthusiasm in candidates, teachers, and partners
  • Are a HR Swiss Army knife, with 5+ years' experience spanning multiple areas of HR (recruitment, People Ops, learning & development), ideally in fast-growing or remote-first organisations
  • Have successfully designed and scaled people systems (e.g., hiring, onboarding, or performance frameworks)
  • Feel confident working with data, metrics, and dashboards to guide decision-making
  • Are highly organised, responsive, and able to stay calm under pressure
  • Communicate with clarity, warmth, and professionalism across cultures and time zones
  • Are a native or expert English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Are excited to leverage AI and automation tools to optimise workflows and boost efficiency
  • Bring experience in the education or EdTech sector (a strong plus!)

Note: If you meet most of the above requirements but have fewer years of experience, we still want to hear from you. We welcome more junior applicants, who may start at a lower compensation level while growing into the role.
