Position: Senior HRIS Analyst – Workday Time & Payroll

Location: Houston, TX (onsite required)

Relocation support may be considered for highly qualified individuals

Pay Range: $110k - $135k / year, depending on experience

We are seeking a hands-on Workday specialist with deep expertise in Time Tracking, Scheduling, Payroll, and Absence modules. This role is central to supporting HR operations globally, with a strong emphasis on system configuration, process optimization, and compliance. The ideal candidate has experience leading a transition from legacy platforms (such as ADP eTime) to Workday, and thrives in a collaborative environment working with HR, Payroll, and IT partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Workday Time Tracking, Scheduling, Payroll, and Absence.
  • Lead configuration, testing, and enhancement efforts across supported modules.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical guidance for end users.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on new functionality rollouts and post-implementation support.
  • Use advanced Excel and reporting tools to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations and processes for knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to broader HR technology initiatives and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 8–10+ years of progressive Workday HCM experience, with focus in Time Tracking, Scheduling, Payroll, and Absence.
  • 5–7 years in HRIS consulting, project delivery, or SME roles supporting medium-to-large implementations.
  • Demonstrated success migrating from ADP eTime (or similar platforms) into Workday, including testing, validation, and data conversion.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and time tracking compliance across multiple geographies.
  • Workday certifications (or ability to obtain) in relevant modules highly preferred.
  • Experience working with international HR/payroll operations a plus.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders, influence outcomes, and lead design discussions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Solid knowledge of HR processes such as business process design, performance management, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong background in reporting and data analysis within Workday and Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and customer-service mindset.
