Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity

As a Talent Specialist (Interview/Background Coordinator), you’ll play a key role in shaping a best-in-class recruitment experience. Partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates, you’ll lead the charge on interview scheduling and candidate logistics - ensuring a smooth and professional process from start to finish. Resourcefulness, flexibility, and resiliency are key skills for this position. Effective communication and professionalism are critical to represent Ally’s strong culture to all parties involved throughout the recruitment process. You must be comfortable and confident in your phone and email etiquette.

In this role, you’ll also support background screening efforts as needed, partnering with key stakeholders to verify information, resolve discrepancies, and help ensure compliance with company standards. Your contribution will directly impact candidate experience, hiring efficiency, and your team’s overall success.

Hybrid Role: Onsite for 3 days a week!

The Work Itself

  • Coordinate complex interview schedules across time zones and departments for a wide variety of roles.
  • Juggle shifting priorities with ease while ensuring hiring timelines and business needs are met.
  • Partner with recruiters on candidate pipeline tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Deliver an outstanding candidate experience through clear communication, timely updates, and warm engagement.
  • Screen for and correct documentation or system errors in workflows and tools.
  • Review and audit hiring processes and background checks to ensure quality, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Manage shared inboxes and field inquires from candidates and stakeholders.
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to keep the recruitment process efficient and human focused.
  • Stay informed on market trends and internal policy changes that impact hiring processes.
  • Protect confidential information, demonstrate integrity, and embody Ally's LEAD values.
  • As needed:
    • Support the background screening process by ensuring accurate documentation, resolving discrepancies, and meeting deadlines.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to manage background check coordination.
    • Assist in job posting creation, process updates, and special projects.
    • Pivot to follow background screening procedures with frequently changing practices.
    • Screening candidates for high-volume and approved positions.
    • Attending recruiting events such as job fairs or other networking events.
Skills

The Skills You Bring

  • 1+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or related fields preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Be hands-on and own it
  • Be proactive and embrace change, being reactive doesn’t work in our environment
  • Detail-oriented individual who can be relied upon to produce accurate deliverables
  • Builds relationships and fosters teamwork achieves mutual objectives by informing and involving others in solving problems and communicating changes
  • Effective Communications -- clearly conveys information and ideas both orally and in writing. Can interact comfortably and appropriately with more senior managers
  • Problem Solving -- Uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; can see hidden problems; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answer
  • A proactive mindset, a knack for problem-solving, and a calm approach under pressure.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and interview scheduling platforms preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Base Pay Range: $60000 - $85000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
