  • Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour, based on experience and internal equity

Position Summary


The Data Engineer will play a critical role in leveraging advanced analytics to support business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This position involves mining and analyzing diverse datasets, developing predictive models, and supporting special projects that enhance decision-making strategies across parts sales, marketing, and ownership experiences.



Key Accountabilities


  • Big Data Analytics (50%): Mine and analyze diverse data sources (e.g., telematics, warranty, repair orders, collision and accessory sales) to optimize marketing, increase parts profitability, improve vehicle quality, and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Predictive Analytics (40%): Develop predictive models and algorithms to enhance customer experiences, support revenue generation, and improve target marketing.
  • Special Projects (10%): Provide analytics support for the PST Business Unit, addressing ad-hoc business needs and data-driven initiatives.



Qualifications, Experience & Skills


Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field


Minimum Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in statistical analytics and/or market research
  • Strong background in data presentation, management, and process improvement
  • Proven hands-on experience with analytics tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, Business Objects, Power BI, or equivalent


Other Job-Specific Skills:

  • Strong analytics and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Data visualization expertise, with ability to extract and manipulate data using SQL
  • Proven experience with Power BI or Tableau (mandatory)
  • Solid experience with Excel (including VLOOKUP, Power Query, and Macros)
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills (must-have)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function as both a Business Analyst and Data Analyst, with strong knowledge of predictive modeling
