Founding Engineer – Hybrid (3 Days/Week On-Site) – San Francisco, NYC, or Vancouver
We are seeking a Founding Engineer to build core systems from zero to production for a fast-growing AI-powered GTM intelligence platform.
This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on owner-builder to shape the technical foundation of an early-stage startup — transforming fragmented GTM data into intelligent, agentic workflows that drive real business outcomes.You’ll go from concept to shipped product, own systems end-to-end, and work directly with founders in tight build-measure-learn loops

Salary: $100,000 – $200,000/year

What You’ll Do:
Own the end-to-end development of core systems: data ingestion, context graphs, orchestration, and agent workflows
Unify messy, multi-source GTM data into clean, tenant-safe, product-ready models
Design and ship planner/executor patterns that turn context into actions
Build native integrations with apps, chat, CRM, and sales tools to reduce user friction
Define success metrics (task completion, adoption, pipeline impact) and instrument everything
Optimize for latency, cost, and reliability — with fallbacks and safeguards for real-world loads
Ship fast, learn faster, and iterate based on direct feedback from Product and Sales teams
Ideal Candidate:
4+ years building and owning backend or platform systems with measurable business impact
Strong in Python and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Experienced in data modeling, multi-tenancy, privacy, and reliability
Product-minded builder with a bias to ship and ability to decide with ~70% information
Early engineer from an AI, data, or GTM-tooling startup — someone who’s gone 0→1→scale
Comfortable with FastAPI/GraphQL, Postgres/DynamoDB, Kubernetes, Pulumi, event-driven systems
Collaborative, clear communicator, and comfortable partnering directly with founders
Bonus Points If:
You’ve built agentic systems, retrieval pipelines, or graph-shaped context layers
Experience with eval frameworks, observability, or AI-driven automation
You thrive in ambiguous environments and love turning fuzzy problems into working systems
