The Decisions Alliance is responsible for the company's Marketing Tech Stack, Customer Data, Experimentation, and MLOps platforms. It enables a rapid feedback loop to understand our customers, using AI/ML capabilities to find the best way to communicate with them. The Role
As an Engineering Manager within the Communications Platform tribe, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the team responsible for managing the infrastructure, integrations, and (mobile) SDKs crucial for all customer communications. Ensuring the provision of a reliable, scalable, and well-instrumented platform is imperative for our marketing teams to devise and implement strategies that deliver engaging communications through preferred channels to our customers. Naturally, this role necessitates close collaboration with our marketing teams, comprehending the challenges they encounter and furnishing them with user-friendly integrations. These capabilities serve as pivotal elements in HelloFresh's growth strategy, directly contributing to the achievement of our mission to revolutionize people's eating habits indefinitely.
What you’ll do
- Lead, inspire, and grow a cross-functional team of engineers (Data / Backend / Mobile) while ensuring smooth delivery of new products and continuous improvements to your team’s tech real estate.
- Drive architectural and design decisions in the team, having a strong focus on the highest quality standards, engineering best practices, and operational excellence.
- Ensure close collaboration and joint decision-making between different engineering teams and stakeholders, especially product leads.
- Participate actively in the tribe leadership team, with the goal to shape and evolve our culture of collaboration and mutual support.
What you’ll bring
- You are an experienced engineering leader who has a deep understanding of your domain.
- You have prior experience in developing mobile applications (Android / iOS)
- You have led cross-functional teams (5-10 engineers) according to agile principles.
- You have a great understanding and working knowledge of building scalable software products based on microservice and event-driven architectures.
- You have prior experience in the Marketing Technology domain.
- You are self-organized and can operate autonomously in a demanding, fast-moving environment.
- You can solve complex problems and remove roadblocks.
- You are a humble leader, who is able to motivate a team and drive them to their highest potential.
