About the Role:

As Manager of Design within our Services & Enablement division, you will lead and evolve our global design team to operate at peak efficiency, quality, and innovation. You’ll be responsible for running the department as a business—ensuring high-margin delivery, optimized team structures, and top-tier satisfaction for both clients and internal stakeholders.


This is a senior leadership role for a commercially-minded design leader who understands not just aesthetics and user experience, but operational efficiency, AI trends, and revenue growth.



Key Responsibilities:


Drive Operational Efficiency:

  • Ensure optimal utilization and revenue per head across the design team.
  • Optimize team structure for cost and performance: balance seniority levels, geographical distribution, and skills mix.
  • Implement and evolve scalable design delivery models that support growth without compromising quality.


Deliver High-Quality, On-Time Work:

  • Drive delivery excellence by ensuring projects meet or exceed margin targets and are delivered on time.
  • Oversee design processes and systems to standardize best practices across the organization.
  • Leverage data to continuously improve workflows, tools, and performance.


Champion Satisfaction & Service Quality:

  • Monitor and improve client and internal stakeholder satisfaction rates.
  • Actively engage with clients and delivery teams to understand evolving needs and proactively identify improvement areas.


Lead Design Innovation and Evolution:

  • Keep the team ahead of the curve by integrating market trends, especially related to AI in design.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and creative excellence.
  • Define and evolve the design value proposition within the company.


Manage the Department Like a Business:

  • Own revenue and margin goals for the design function.
  • Partner with Sales, Staffing, and Delivery to align capacity with demand and maximize impact.
  • Identify growth opportunities for the design department—both organic and strategic.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in design leadership roles (agency, consultancy, or in-house).
  • Proven track record of scaling and optimizing global design teams.
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI, product design, and emerging technologies including AI.
  • Business acumen: experience managing P&L or departmental budgets, revenue growth, and operational KPIs.
  • Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator; comfortable interfacing with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced English level
