ROLE
We are seeking a talented Web Designer to join our team and play a key role in shaping our digital identity. This is a hands-on role where you will design, develop, and maintain visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly websites and applications that showcase our brands and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The position falls under SOC Code 2141 – Web Design Professionals, and is eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging, responsive, and accessible websites tailored to the alcohol and beverages sector.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Photoshop.
- Develop front-end solutions using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g. React, Vue.js, Angular).
- Ensure websites are optimised for performance, SEO, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and compatibility across browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with brand, marketing, and operations teams to align digital solutions with business objectives.
- Maintain and update existing websites, integrating e-commerce functionality and ensuring smooth user journeys.
- Conduct usability testing, troubleshoot issues, and apply UX/UI best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Digital Media, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in web design, with a strong portfolio of responsive design projects.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and knowledge of modern frameworks.
- Experience with UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch.
- Understanding of SEO principles, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong problem-solving, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and integrations.
- Awareness of current design trends and emerging technologies.
