Title: Workday Security HRIS Analyst
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Reports To: HRIS Manager / Director of HR Technology
The Workday Security HRIS Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting Workday security structures within the organization. This role ensures that security configurations align with business needs while maintaining compliance, data integrity, and system efficiency. The analyst will partner with HR, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, implement system updates, and manage ongoing security administration.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain Workday security roles, groups, and access frameworks in alignment with business requirements and compliance policies.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of Workday security to ensure data integrity, compliance, and adherence to segregation of duties.
Collaborate with HR, IT, and compliance teams to evaluate access requests and implement appropriate role assignments.
Partner with internal stakeholders to identify gaps, propose security solutions, and drive continuous improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve Workday security-related issues and incidents, escalating as needed.
Support Workday system updates/releases by reviewing security impacts, testing changes, and ensuring seamless transitions.
Document system configurations, security processes, and best practices to maintain operational excellence.
Provide training and guidance to HR and business partners regarding Workday security policies, processes, and role responsibilities.
Stay current on Workday security functionality, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of HRIS or HR technology experience, with at least 2 years directly managing Workday security.
Strong knowledge of Workday modules (HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, etc.) and security framework.
Experience with compliance requirements (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) and security auditing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Workday certification in HCM or Security preferred.
Competitive base salary ($145,000 + a Full Relocation package if needed)
