CNF Technologies is currently looking to hire an Automated Test Engineer (Mid-Level) to support United States Space Force (USSF) on a full time, permanent basis. This opportunity must be performed onsite in Colorado Springs, CO and offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (~2 days per week remote/work from home). An active DoD Secret security clearance (minimum) is required. An active Top Secret security clearance w/ SCI and SAP eligibility is highly desired. Relocation assistance is available for highly qualified candidates if needed.


Title: Automated Test Engineer (Mid-Level)

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Onsite w/ some remote work opportunity available)

Travel: You may be required to travel on occasion (less than 10%)


Summary:

As a Mid-Level Automation Tester with CNF, your development activities at the Cyber Operations Branch program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies to implement lead, agile, and DevOps at scale. Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery. These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze test results and coordinate with the development teams for bug fixes
  • Analyze underlying causes of performance issues and provide corrective action
  • Develop automated test scenario(s) and environment for performance testing
  • Review and recommend improvements in existing test procedures
  • Coordination with testing team to develop performance test plans and cases
  • Must be able to use all web methods like GET, PUT, POST, DELETE etc.
  • Must be able to validate xml and json body using json parser
  • Know how to use the OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms
  • Must be able to Load and Security testing on web services
  • Design and develop test automation scripts to create, enhance, debug, and run test cases
  • Using test automation guidelines, researching issues in software through testing to validate feedback, response time, & error code.


Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. An active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is nice to have / highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 6 years' related professional experience; or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 4 years' related professional experience.
  • SAFe for Teams, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Agile Technical Tester, & Implementing Test Process Improvement certifications within 12 months of start date
  • Experience with at least two of the following programming languages: Java, Angular, Gitlab, RHEL, JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr & Python
  • Experience or knowledge in the following areas: Agile methodologies, agile project management, software development life cycle management, cross-functional team, agile software testing, test-driven development, software test planning, software test automation


Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity & knowledge w/ SIMP Project, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL
  • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
  • Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office
