Business Analyst

(full remote within Hungary as contractor)

Our partner is one of the fastest-growing startups in the US, specializing in cutting-edge medical technology. Their talented team is transforming healthcare by making neurological diagnostics smarter and more efficient.

They are looking for a Business Analyst with expertise in requirement management and working in a diverse team of people with different skillsets to drive the development of scalable, high-performance cloud-based solutions. You’ll design and document robust features, contribute to technical excellence, and support both the client and the development team in delivering new software features.

Responsibilities

● Feature innovator: Discover, discuss and document new software requirements from business idea to deployment, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and scalability.

● Support and coach: Share new features with the development team and help them deliver the best results, actively participate in internal knowledge sharing forums and conduct trainings, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

● Collaborate effectively: Partner with stakeholders, developers and QA engineers, and fellow business analysts to build user-friendly, impactful solutions.

● Technical communicator: Engage in business and technical discussions, and work on features with the CTO and fellow business analyst. Translate technical findings to non-technical teams and vice versa to promote best practices and improve code quality.

● Troubleshoot with skill: Discover, analyze and manage the resolution of complex issues in both development and production environments, contributing to sustainable solutions.

● Continuous improvement advocate: Stay current with modern development practices, contributing ideas to improve technology and processes.

● Keeper of the books: Create and maintain software requirements and create detailed tasks for the development team to ensure traceability in the long run.

Requirements

● Experienced business analyst: 3+ years of professional experience, with proficiency in well-known project management and collaboration tools.

● Experience in organizing and maintaining business analysis activities within a software team

● Experience in creating system prototypes and user interfaces

● Mentor and guide: Proven ability to share knowledge, providing constructive feedback to team members and technical guidance to enhance their skills and contributions.

● Collaborative problem solver: Enjoy working with other team members on issue analysis and sharing knowledge in a team-focused environment.

● Experience in Agile methodologies and knowledge of various software development methodologies

● Technical communicator: Clear, effective written and verbal communication, including producing concise documentation.

● CI/CD and DevOps awareness: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern cloud deployment strategies.

● Team player with a sense of humor: You’ll be working with some really nice folks. If you can crack a joke while solving complex problems, you’ll fit right in!

● Fluent in Hungarian, and an advanced command of English - you’ll be working with a team that’s mostly based in Hungary, with all documentation created in English so

both languages are key!

Our partner offers

● Work from anywhere (even in pyjamas!): They are a fully remote team, so whether you're working from your favorite café, your living room, or a cozy corner in Hungary (where most of their team is based), you’re good to go.

● Flexible Hours: Early bird? Night owl? No problem! As long as the job gets done, they don’t mind when you clock in. Get your work done on your schedule, and balance your life the way you like it.

● Cutting-edge tech: You'll be working with a truly innovative cloud-based EEG platform. It’s healthcare, but cooler (think life-changing without the sticky electrodes).

● Collaboration overload: Join a team that values communication and teamwork. Expect plenty of collaboration across projects and regular interaction with your colleagues.

● Growth opportunities: They are a growing company, which means you'll have the chance to grow with them. Want to lead projects? Build new skills? They’ve got your back.

● Fun vibes: They’re serious about their work, but they don’t take themselves too seriously. If you appreciate a good GIF or meme mid-project, you’ll fit right in.
