Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Rust Developer with at least 4 years of experience in building and managing complex codebases. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Rust, Git, and Docker, with the ability to work independently on challenging projects. This role involves analyzing open-source repositories, evaluating code quality, and contributing to LLM (Large Language Model) research and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and triage GitHub issues related to complex repositories.
- Set up and manage code repositories including Docker-based environments.
- Evaluate and enhance unit tests for reliability and performance.
- Modify and run code to assess LLM performance and benchmarks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers on the team.
- Collaborate across distributed teams with partial PST time zone overlap.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of professional experience in Rust programming.
- Strong experience with Git (branching, workflows, code reviews).
- Proficiency in Docker for development and deployment.
- Proven track record working on complex, large-scale codebases.
Nice to Have
- Experience with LLM research/evaluation.
- Familiarity with developer tools and automation workflows.
