Robert Half is seeking a
Workday HRIS Administrator to support a leading organization in the Seattle, WA area. This role is a
backfill during Open Enrollment season, covering Core HR and Benefits (OE) administration as a team member transitions to reduced hours. The position is
Hybrid (Tues/Thurs onsite preferred, remote otherwise, fully remote possible) and will run
through the end of the year with potential to extend. Apply today!
Job Details:
- Schedule: Core hours 8:00am-4:00pm PST, Tuesday & Thursday onsite preferred (not mandatory)
- Duration: Contract through year-end, focus on Open Enrollment
- Location: Seattle, WA (PST time zone preferred, local bonus)
- Remote/Onsite: Hybrid (onsite Tues/Thurs ideal, remote otherwise; fully remote possible)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide Workday Core HR administration including granting permissions, security role updates, document uploads, and data management.
- Support Open Enrollment (Benefits) by configuring enrollment activities, troubleshooting benefit elections, and ensuring accurate data flow.
- Run and deliver standard Workday reports for HR and Benefits, including OE-specific reporting (enrollment completion, missing elections, etc.).
- Manage EIBs and data loads for HR changes.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, supporting ongoing HRIS initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR and IT to troubleshoot missing fields, errors, and employee support requests.
Requirements
Proven Senior level Workday HCM Administration experience.
- Must have experience with Open Enrollment
Business Process Configuration (across HCM)
- Including a deep knowledge of security policy controls - this very important
Reporting - some knowledge
Security - need someone who understands the complexity of the Workday architecture.
- Understand security policies, domain inheritance, permissions, and groups
- Understand Workday delivered, derived, constrained and unconstrained security.
- Understand security group types - user-based, role-based, pubic, segment-based, job-based, aggregational, intersectional, and rule based (to name a few).
Some experience with
- EIBs
- Cloud Connect
- Workday studio
Knowledge of integration methods within Workday
- Solid communication skills - Will be working very closely with their HR team who has historically had less than ideal experience with IT
