- You will analyze business systems and user needs for a core functional area and recommend solutions to improve processes and workstreams.
- You will serve as the liaison between the business organization and the technology team to design new solutions as well as troubleshoot existing issues.
- you will identify requirements and specifications as well as develop and execute test plans as you work with teams to build, test, and implement solutions for our customers.

Essential Duties
- Manages projects for a core functional area.
- Performs requirements analysis by conducting SME (client) interviews, requirements meetings, surveys, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
- Analyzes existing business processes.
- Informs requirements and solutions to automate workflows and business processes.
- Effectively communicates customer needs and requirements to cross-functional team members and management.
- Writes business process documentation, creates business requirements documents, technical specifications and risk analysis for assigned projects Under the direction of Project Manager, conduct meetings and presentations to review and validate findings.
- Works closely with clients and facilitates decision-making by communicating across project teams and functional areas.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements through traceability and testing.
- Creates user acceptance test cases and facilitates/ assists user acceptance testing.
- Work with Project manager and stakeholders to manage issues and risks, prepare and maintain implementation plans.
- Serves as liaison between the functional project team, the technology support organization, project stakeholders and users/business units.
- Manage competing priorities.
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Supports functional users in developing reports.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Business Process Analysis experience.
- Proven attention to detail and an ability to work independently.
- Certification in business analyst from IIBA and/or other emerging automation/ cognitive technologies a plus.
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and offer new ideas (‘thinks outside the box’).
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of higher education administrative systems and related business principles a plus.
- Knowledge principles and techniques used in performing analysis.
- Knowledge of automated and manual management information systems.
- Knowledge of forms design and procedures development. Knowledge of implementing software or custom systems.
- Ability to analyze complicated problems.
- Ability to create conceptual solutions that are technically feasible.
- Ability to clearly explain concrete processes and abstract concepts both orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform effectively as a member of a team.

- Alternative work schedules can include four, 10-hour workdays in a workweek; a nine-day, 80-hour schedule over two workweeks for exempt employees only; and staggered start and stop times.
- Hybrid work is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of 60% of their regular workweek at their primary ASU work location. Dean or vice president-level approval is required.
- Remote work is an arrangement where the employee spends less than 60% of their regular workweek at a regularly assigned ASU work location. Executive vice president-level approval is required.
Standard Working Environment
- Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position.
- Constantly detects and operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.
- Expected to be responsive to customers, engaged in work production, resourceful, flexible, and respectful of others.
