Senior Dell Stroage Administrator in United Estate

Akkodis is seeking a talented Senior Dell Storage Administrator with at least 5 years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, and administering NAS Storage systems specifically Dell PowerScale Isilon and Avamar systems for external customers. This is a remote role but you must be willing to go onsite to the following office locations: Cleveland or Columbus, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, or Nashville, TN.

Pay/Salary Range: based on your experience: $40-50/hr W2; Salary upon conversion between $80,000-95,000

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, performance, and reliability of our clients’ NAS and backup systems.
• Respond to support tickets with urgency and precision
• Troubleshoot and triaging issues across Unix/Linux/Windows platforms
• Monitor system health and performance using SNMP dashboards and command-line tools
• Escalate critical issues and coordinating with vendors for hardware replacements
• Conduct health checks and resolving alerts for Isilon clusters and Avamar grids
• Collect and analyze logs to drive support cases with Dell
• Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams—even under pressure

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in NAS storage administration, specifically with Dell PowerScale Isilon
• 5+ years of experience with NDMP backups using Dell Avamar
• Strong familiarity with tools like InsightIQ, SyncIQ, Avamar Administrator, and AUI
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux command-line tools (e.g., vi, isi status)
• Experience with service management platforms and ticketing systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-stakes environment
• A flexible, team-oriented mindset with a “get-it-done” attitude
