About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DDaT Lead, Senior Executive Officer to join our Digital Services team in a permanent capacity. This role is pivotal in driving our infrastructure engineering initiatives, specifically within WebOps and DevOps domains. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our DevOps strategy, ensuring the delivery of secure, resilient, and high-performing digital services that support millions of users nationwide. You will work remotely within the UK, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers to maintain and enhance our service infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead digital transformation efforts, influence technological advancements, and contribute to the organization's mission of transparency and efficiency in business registration processes.


Qualifications


  • Proven experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python)
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and infrastructure environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are desirable.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and implementation of DevOps strategies to enhance infrastructure reliability and security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
  • Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure high service availability
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and policies
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across all digital services
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize infrastructure performance and cost-effectiveness
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support as required
