👷🏻♀️What You'll Be Doing
As our
Founding Marketer, you’ll be responsible for owning the full
inbound engine at daydream—from content to community to thought leadership. This is a critical role: all of our revenue to date has come from inbound leads, and we want to double down on that motion.
You’ll:
- Own content marketing end to end—including written content, SEO education, and long-form thought leadership.
- Create high-quality courses that help teach the fundamentals of modern SEO, GEO, and AI-enabled growth.
- Build and nurture a community of modern growth marketers—especially those operating at the frontier of AI, content, and SEO.
- Collaborate closely with our data science and product teams to translate internal research into public-facing content, case studies, and original insights.
- Define and evolve the narrative around daydream—cementing our position as the go-to brand for generative engine optimization.
- Act as the voice of the brand, working with the CEO and Head of Growth to define our public presence and shape the industry conversation around GEO
✅ You’ll be an excellent fit if you
- Have 5-7+ years of experience in content, brand, or growth marketing
- Have built content that drove measurable pipeline—not just traffic
- Are an excellent writer and editor with a strong product + audience POV
- Are excited about the intersection of AI, search, and growth
- Are eager to build from 0 → 1—laying down the systems and strategy from scratch
- Are as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to write a long-form post as you are crafting the overall content roadmap

- Prefer following marketing playbooks over creating them from scratch
- Get overwhelmed by ambiguity, speed, or a blank Google Doc
- Want to market a product, not define a category
- Think “thought leadership” means reposting trending LinkedIn takes
👤 Ideal background
- Experience leading growth or brand marketing in a high-growth B2B startup
- Strong familiarity with modern SEO and/or AI trends
- Bonus: experience building courses, educational content, and community.
🏦 Compensation
- Total compensation - Base salary $150K-$170K On-target earnings (OTE): $170K–$190K/year (bonus tied to marketing outcomes) plus generous equity in daydream.
