For an European organization in Strasbourg, France, we are urgently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer.
EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality is required). Work permits ar not provided.
Candidates need to be based in Strasbourg or willing to relocate to Strasbourg. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube for efficient and automated software deployment;
- Provide deployment support across environments, leveraging Red Hat Cluster Manager for orchestration and Openshift/Kubernetes for containerization and application deployment;
- Configure and support ServiceMesh technology, ensuring secure and efficient service communication in microservices architectures;
- Handle deployments and builds in an on-prem VMware environment;
- Participate in design discussions and provide technical recommendations for CI/CD, infrastructure, and application deployment;
- Provide ongoing support for applications after deployment, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization;
- Leverage tools such as SonarQube for quality assurance, ensuring the integrity and security of deployed code;
- Provide hands-on support to the deployment team, including participating in troubleshooting sessions and reviewing infrastructure-related documentation;
- Interpret the application development, operations, and infrastructure implications of proposed solutions;
- Utilize architect solutions to implement end-to-end technology solutions that address client business challenges;
- Assess and optimize IT infrastructure, operations, and service delivery to improve efficiency and performance;
- Assist in designing and managing the implementation of new technologies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project objectives;
Profile:
- Bachelor or University degree;
- +10 years of experience in a relevant industry, business consulting, or technical consulting;
- Strong experience with Continuous Integration of Java applications with Maven (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Maven / SonarQube);
- Advanced experience with container orchestration and deployment (Kubernetes, Service mesh, Helm);
- Strong experience with Artefact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus);
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms;
- Strong interest in infrastructure technologies and willingness to learn;
- Experience in data networking technologies including protocols, design, security and business continuity preferred;
- Experience of working in an agile software development environment;
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools;
- Desirable:
- Experience in development of Java/Maven/SpringBoot applications;
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift;
- Experience with Azure Cloud provider;
- Experience with GitHub actions;
- Fluent in English;
