Company: LeasePoint Funding Group

Location: Austin, TX

Position: Director of Platform Engineering, Business Systems & Operations

Employment Type: Full-Time (Onsite)

About Us:

LeasePoint Funding Group is a leading provider of equipment financing solutions, dedicated to helping businesses grow by offering flexible and tailored funding options. We are committed to excellence, innovation, and the success of our clients. Our team is driven by a shared passion for achieving results and delivering exceptional service.

About This Role:

LeasePoint is at an inflection point: we’ve outgrown ad-hoc processes and need a single leader who can unify business systems, operations, and our proprietary platform (Lazr). With our Head of Operations transitioning out, we’re combining operations management with platform leadership—so processes and technology are designed, built, and run as one system.

This isn’t just an ops role or a tech role—it’s both. You’ll be the connective tissue between process + people + platform, reporting directly to the CEO. It’s an onsite leadership seat in Austin with a chance to shape how a fintech lender scales and integrates AI across every function.

Mission (12 months):

  • Operational clarity: Every department has documented, optimized processes that flow cleanly into systems.
  • Integrated stack: HubSpot, Front, Slack, Salesmsg, QuickBooks, and Lazr are tightly connected with no double entry.
  • Ops leadership: Core functions (credit, funding, servicing, insurance, vendor support) run on SLAs, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Product velocity: Lazr ships on a predictable sprint cycle with QA and adoption.
  • AI in operations: Practical automation deployed across customer interactions, underwriting, and internal workflows.

Core Responsibilities:

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operational functions across credit, funding, insurance tracking, and servicing.
  • Own SLAs, QA, compliance, and reporting for all customer-facing and back-office processes.
  • Partner with department heads to map processes, streamline handoffs, and codify SOPs.
  • Build dashboards/KPIs: time-to-fund, approval rates, error rates, insurance compliance, NPS.
  • Lead change management when new tools or workflows are introduced.

Business Systems & Integrations

  • Own all systems: HubSpot, Front, Salesmsg, Slack, QuickBooks, email/credentialing.
  • Design and maintain integrations to eliminate manual work and ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding, credentials, access, and runbooks.

Platform (Lazr) Product Management

  • Co-own roadmap with CEO/founders.
  • Translate ops/process needs into features.
  • Run sprints, backlog grooming, and QA.
  • Lead internal rollout and training.

AI & Automation

  • Identify high-ROI opportunities for OpenAI/chatbots/assistants.
  • Ship AI features that reduce cycle time and errors (e.g., intake triage, insurance verification, doc extraction).
  • Maintain prompt libraries, evals, and governance around PII.

Ideal Background:

  • 8–12+ years in business systems, platform engineering, or ops leadership—ideally in fintech, lending, SaaS, or process-heavy B2B.
  • Proven operations manager who has run teams and improved KPIs.
  • Technical systems integration skills (HubSpot, APIs, webhooks, QuickBooks, messaging tools).
  • Experience with product management / sprints / QA.
  • Comfortable managing both people and platforms.
  • Hands-on with AI applications in workflows a big plus.

Comp & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $150K+ depending on experience.
  • Performance bonus: ~10–20% of base.
  • Full medical, dental, vision.
  • Relocation support if moving to Austin.
  • Professional development budget for AI/ops/leadership training.

How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience to HR@leasepoint.com with the subject line “Director of Platform Engineering, Business Systems & Operations – [Your Name]”.

  • LeasePoint Funding Group is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply. We look forward to welcoming a dedicated and talented individual to our team!
