Test Automation Engineer (f/m/x) – Clinical Diagnostics Software

Your responsibilities

As Test Automation Engineer (f/m/x) in our Digital Lab Solutions Division you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our diagnostics software products through automated testing.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases (UI and services) within our lab systems landscape
  • Execute automated tests and analyse results for continuous optimization
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality standards are met
  • Conduct tool evaluations to select appropriate test automation solutions
  • Create test automation concepts for various software projects
  • Mentor and guide testers, assuming the role of Lead Test Automation Engineer Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and healthcare technology. Creatively promoting our products and services through written text

Your profile

  • Academic degree in software engineering, bio-/medical technology or related field with strong IT affinity
  • Proven experience in test automation engineering, methodologies, and tools (ISTQB advanced level certificate)
  • Advanced knowledge of at least two test automation tools such as TOSCA, Playwright, Selenium, SoapUI, Ranorex, or others
  • Strong understanding of agile / lean methodologies, and healthcare industry standards / regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English fluent)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive personality with passion for digital transformation and continuous learning as role evolves with technological advancements and market changes
