About Bundle

  • We’re on a mission to do away with crappy training and become the most creative, innovative, and effective digital learning agency on the planet.
  • Our team creates custom digital learning content for incredible clients across a range of industries, including Gaming, Music, Film, Transport, Drinks and Health.
  • Gamified, interactive and immersive learning experiences are a key part of our existing solutions for clients, and essential to our exciting plans to transform what’s possible with digital learning.
  • With new projects and clients on the horizon, we’re ready to scale. We're looking for a NZ-based Unity Developer to help us continue to push the boundaries of digital learning.
  • Working with the digital learning authoring tool, Storyline 360, will be a key part of this role. However, we don’t just use Storyline traditionally; we push it to its limits with custom code, embedded Unity/WebGL content, and creative hacks that set us apart from typical eLearning.

Job description

  • We’re looking for a Unity Developer with a strong interest in digital learning to work alongside our UK-based Digital Learning Developer to create incredibly immersive learning experiences by:
  • Mastering development within Storyline 360, the industry-leading digital learning authoring tool, to set new standards of what’s possible both technically and creatively.
  • Building fully gamified training experiences in game engines for new and existing clients, and getting them working seamlessly within Storyline 360.
  • Collaborating with the rest of our team to stretch the possibilities of what’s possible within learning gamification within Bundle and client projects.
  • This role combines building gamified training in Unity with creating high-quality digital learning modules in Storyline 360. You don’t need prior Storyline experience — we’ll provide full training — but you should be excited to work across both tools as part of your everyday development.

Your day-to-day

  • Attending client briefings and meetings (occasionally outside regular NZ working hours).
  • Collaborating with our Instructional Designers and Learning Designers to share your expertise on how best to bring creative ideas to life through game and learning technology.
  • Developing gamified, interactive learning experiences using Unity and other game-development tools that can be integrated into eLearning platforms.
  • Developing custom code using JavaScript, WebGL, Three.js and other tools to create advanced learning experiences and simulations tailored to our clients' needs.
  • Developing and manipulating 3D models to create immersive learning experiences of our clients' working environments.
  • Developing non-gamified digital learning modules, courses, quizzes and assessments in various eLearning tools (including Storyline 360, Rise, and Captivate).
  • Conducting thorough testing and quality assurance on all learning content to ensure we provide our clients and their audience with a ‘works first time’ premium learning experience.
  • Supporting the export and delivery of files for clients to upload to their Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Supporting the development of other digital learning content, including animated videos, how-to guides, performance support, virtual reality experiences, and more.
  • Assisting with designing images, illustrations, infographics, and other assets that enhance learners' understanding of key messages.
  • Researching the latest trends, ideas and tools in the digital learning, gamification and learning technologies spaces.
  • Supporting client and internal projects and marketing activities with your expertise.
  • Continuously seeking new ways to delight our clients and engage their audiences.

What you bring to the team

Essential:

  • Strong Unity development skills and experience creating interactive, gamified experiences.
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to also work extensively with Storyline 360 (training provided), and to learn new technologies (ideally with evidence of having done so).
  • A creative, problem-solving mindset and ability to think strategically about game design.
  • Strong project management, communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to deliver on time and on budget.
  • A passion for learning and a friendly, enthusiastic and trustworthy approach when dealing with clients and colleagues.
  • Solid Git/Version control knowledge to ensure a seamless handover between NZ and UK teams.
  • Flexibility in working hours to connect with our UK-based team and international clients.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Storyline 360, Rise, or other eLearning authoring tools.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency in tools such as JavaScript, WebGL, Three.js or similar technologies.
  • Enthusiasm for experimenting, testing, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital learning.

Why you'll love working at Bundle:

  • Fully remote. Our team of Bundlers work remotely across the UK, NZ and Georgia.
  • Flexible hours. Choose a schedule that works for you (as long as you’re available for team calls).
  • Extra time off between Christmas and New Year's. In addition to 25 days' holiday.
  • Professional development. We want to ensure you can grow along with Bundle.
  • Own your role. We don’t micro-manage (but help is always available).
  • Best-in-class tools. We’ll provide a PC/MacBook and all software licences.
