Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Flutter Developer to support a software company creating an Identity Access Management product. This is a W2 only opportunity. Please, no third parties.
We’re looking for a Mobile Software Engineer with deep expertise in Flutter to build high-performance, scalable, and user-centric mobile applications. You’ll lead the development of real-time communication features and collaborate across disciplines to deliver seamless experiences on both Android and iOS platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a real-time chat system using technologies such as XMPP, WebSocket, Firebase, or similar.
- Integrate native platform features via Flutter MethodChannels using Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS).
- Optimize performance using Dart Isolates for concurrent background tasks like image processing and encryption.
- Ensure consistent, responsive, and intuitive user experiences across platforms.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and fellow mobile developers.
- Write clean, modular, testable, and maintainable code with comprehensive documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to peers.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional mobile development experience, including 3+ years with Flutter and Dart.
- Proven experience building and maintaining real-time communication systems (e.g., XMPP, WebSocket, MQTT, gRPC).
- Strong understanding of Flutter state management frameworks (Bloc, Riverpod, Provider, GetX).
- Proficiency in Dart Isolates for offloading intensive tasks from the UI thread.
- Familiarity with key Flutter packages such as flutter_bloc, firebase_messaging, flutter_local_notifications, web_socket_channel, encrypt, camera, image_picker, and permission_handler.
- Experience with native Android development using Kotlin and iOS development using Swift, particularly via MethodChannel/PlatformChannel.
- Solid understanding of mobile app lifecycle and background services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Experience with messaging protocols like XMPP, MQTT, or Matrix.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Codemagic or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices including encryption, secure key storage, and biometric authentication.
- Experience with WebRTC, multimedia processing, or MLKit.
- Published apps available on Google Play and Apple App Store.
