What You’ll Do
As an IIoT Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in helping manufacturing clients transform their operations. Your work will include:
- Meeting with clients to scope and understand their IIoT requirements
- Designing and implementing IIoT solutions focused on machine data acquisition, IT networking, web software, and SQL databases
- Evaluating connectivity options for production equipment (PLCs, edge devices, sensors, etc.)
- Recommending and implementing shop-floor IIoT solutions
- Designing and customizing user interfaces and dashboards for real-time data visibility
- Creating solution documentation and delivering client training
- Acting as the primary customer interface and trusted advisor on IIoT projects
- Driving process improvements and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver project success
What You Bring
- Experience with IIoT and data systems
- Background in Enterprise-level SCADA systems and controls environments (PLC programming not required)
- Strong understanding of network architecture, cybersecurity principles, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition software (e.g., OAS, Kepware, OPC/UA, Node Red, Azure IoT)
- Familiarity with control system-related protocols (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Modbus, MQTT, MT Connect)
- Knowledge of MES systems (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, ThingWorx)
- Proficiency with MS SQL databases and integration with MES/ERP/CMMS systems
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
