Senior and Mid-level Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

100% Remote (must work EST hours)

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, develop, and maintain Azure cloud environments (commercial & government)
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and DevOps to ensure secure, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure
  • Build, operate, and maintain IaaS and PaaS solutions in Azure
  • Define and track SLOs, SLAs, and SLIs with development teams
  • Contribute to platform service development (architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, support)
  • Integrate and manage central logging, metrics dashboards, instrumentation, and incident monitoring systems
  • Develop and administer tools for application monitoring and observability (dashboards, APMs)
  • Participate in on-call support rotation for cloud infrastructure
  • Identify and resolve technical issues using automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring
  • Enhance and maintain operational tooling and frameworks
  • Build frameworks for performance and resiliency testing of platform services
  • Automate alerts for performance, cost, vulnerabilities, risk, and compliance
  • Drive automation and process improvements for support tasks
  • Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years in a cloud engineering or SRE role
  • Expert in at least one cloud provider (Azure preferred)
  • Hands-on production experience managing Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Familiar with Kubernetes deployment tools (Helm, ArgoCD, Flux)
  • Strong understanding of networking and internet protocols
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM)
  • Experience in production cloud environments
  • Understanding of encryption, PKI, and OWASP standards
  • Experience with RESTful services
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Experience with source control and IDEs (Visual Studio Code, Git)
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Math, or related field
  • Advanced coursework in algorithms, mathematics, data structures
  • Deep expertise in Azure
  • Passion for infrastructure automation
  • Strong ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
