Senior Systems Administrator (Windows) with GCP Experience
Location: 100% Remote within the U.S.
Working Hours – Standard Business Hours – Central Time Zone (p imary responsibilities occur during standard business hours, but off-hours work is part of the job).
Contract Duration – October 2025 – June 30, 2026, with possibility of an extension
Travel - Occasional travel may be required within the U.S. (travel expenses will be reimbursable)
PAY RATE $50 Per hr on W2
Experience with GCP is must.
The Windows Systems Administrator will be working within the Environment Management Group, which is responsible for identifying, analyzing, monitoring, supporting, architecting, and engineering solutions. The areas of responsibility involve OS, middleware, applications, and databases for pre-production servers.
Please note that strong coding skills around automation is a must along with having experience in using Bitbucket, Artifactory, GitLab and a ticketing process.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Deploy, smoke test, and validate new code releases
- Perform backups and restore environments to previous version in case of rollback
- Maintain and control access to test environments through concept of least privilege
- Provide a weekly status report for current projects
- Review and provide recommendations to improve environmental performance
- Manage tickets and tasks assigned to provide detailed information on all support provided,
- Recommended solutions, and improvements that are implemented
- Provide technical assistance to other Systems Administrators as needed
- Understand and document how entire environment and its dependencies are integrated
- Spec and build new environments as needed
- Monitor and maintain standard documentation for policies, procedures, and practices
- Demonstrate effective time management and the ability to maintain multiple tasks
- Apply effective communication and customer support to our QA and Dev teammates
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology related fields or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Service and Information Technology
- Strong coding skills around automation is a must
- Experience in using Bitbucket, Artifactory, GitLab and a ticketing process.
- Emphasis on Windows Server platforms, 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022 SQL Clustering, and PowerShell
- Skilled in Automation, IIS configuration, AD, DNS, VLANS, Netscalers, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL connections and basic queries, Oracle connections, and VMWare
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups
- Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels of the company
- Approachable and open
- Demonstrated professionalism and courtesy in responding to phone calls and emails
